With more than thirty years’ experience in management, development, transition, and coaching, Sonja has earned a reputation of gracefully and successfully leading company and personal change. The focus throughout her career has been to help others build a future of growth and sustainability.
Sonja’s compassionate and genuine interest in her clients and customers complement her belief in building open and honest working relationships to get the best results for both. Her depth of career and industry knowledge allow her to make a positive impact with those that she works with, whether that is leading a large-scale downsizing or a one-to-one coaching session.
Before joining Toombs Inc., Sonja worked for a variety of Canadian and International organizations. One, in particular, the YMCA of Northern Alberta, had a lasting effect on her career. It was where she developed her sense of community and passion for driving positive change. It was also where she further developed her leadership skills, expertise in competency-based training, workshop design and delivery, organizational development, recruitment, crisis intervention, and mediation.
Sonja is a Certified Career Coach with Erickson Coaching International. She is a member of the International Coach Federation and a candidate for the PCC certification. In addition to her specialized training in various career assessment methods and tools, Sonja holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management.
